Living in Florida has great benefits. We enjoy great weather (most of the time), beautiful beaches,  fun attractions and a great number of little hidden corners that long to be photographed. When I take notice, it’s hard not to appreciate these little blessings. Unfortunately these little blessings and the bigger blessings, such as family and friends, are easy to overlook in the busyness of everyday.  When I became a writer, the fine art of observance was a necessary skill. The one truth that I have observed most often is that life really is but a breath. Being mindful of this certainty opens my heart to a great appreciation for the simple things in life and the desire to take notice.

My road map:

  • Nurture relationships: faith, family and friends
  • Be thoughtful in decisions and always take notice
  • Build a life I love … explore the possibilities
  • Live simply, encourage often and plant seeds of inspiration
  • Be kind and charitable
  • Create: art, the written word, a lovely home and special memories
  • Laugh, repeat often

Love from Florida ~

On being a mother: Words never fully express the joy of motherhood. It is the most worthy of endeavors and it leaves a deep impression on the heart.

On being an artist/writer: I find the most beautiful art in creation, no poetry lovelier than Psalms, and no music sweeter than the laughter of a child.
